Dock electrical installations are NOT something that just "anyone" can do. Don't be fooled! For the electric installation to look correct and not appear to be done by an amateur, special techniques are required. These processes are taught to our Dock crews here at LKN by a Project Manager that has been part of the LKN team for 14 years.

Besides our Dock electrical installations looking awesome, Docks require special code considerations that come from a tradesman immersed in the daily installation of electrical systems on Docks. Our Electricians are trained and understand what quality workmanship MUST look like every time... NO EXCEPTIONS!

You DO NOT want conduit and cabling visible on your Dock, just because it's the "easy" way for the "guy" that showed up and doesn't have a clue of how it's done!

FIRST THINGS FIRST...
After LKN has completed YOUR requirements for hiring a Qualified Electrical Contractor, together we will finalize our contract documents and this will be processed into our System. Our purchasing department will begin their part of ordering EVERYTHING for your project and assembling it into our warehouse. As this is occurring, part of our "start-up" process will include forwarding you an e-mail entitled: "Dock Project Expectations". This will be your "road map" as to what you can expect from us. This document has been developed over years of customer interaction and communication. It will answer most of your questions moving into the electrical installation of your Dock. Please make sure that you read it as it will go a long way in explaining your necessary interaction with us, project phases, and interactions with your Dock contractor, utilities, and inspections. Once the project gets started, you will receive daily e-mail's with project updates. If you prefer not to receive these e-mails, advise the office.

It feels like every day is a vacation! We get it.
As those hot summer days turn into sunset evenings you're going to need some Dock lighting.
Docks have come a long way from the simple one incandescent light bulb dangling out there-lol.

Yes, we were there in the beginning, the development and integration into LED Dock lighting was a bumpy road.
Through some trial-and-error, we eventually worked out our installation methods for these new products. As this was happening the LED manufactures were perfecting their products and dialing in the required quality.

Along with their evolving RGB versatility, the LED's (Light Emitting Diode's) last so much longer compared to traditional lamps that now our standard Dock lighting packages include a 10-year manufacture product warranty.

As part of our contract to you, LKN will provide a professionally prepared CUSTOM lighting design & drawing.
This is included with EVERY Dock lighting package we install!
We realize this is very important, as it will include your ideas expressed to us during our pre-construction meeting.
Our Dock lighting installations are custom and there is no "one-size-fits-all".

Our completion WILL NOT present a lighting drawing to you or look for your pre-approval.

It's a simple fact in lighting design, that the correct installation for any lighting (especially Dock Walkway lights) is to minimize glare and create a "low" ambient light glow which is safe, effective with keeping an eye to a subtle mood.

There are some Dock lighting "installers" out there that will give you excuses about this fact and take the easy route installing their Dock walkway lighting mounted in the floor..."shining" straight back at you... AMATEURS!

The CORRECT installation is in the handrail posts.
Its DIFINITELY not easy and time consuming!
But no GLARE, and no sunglasses! It's a seamless installation.
(As would be expected NO wire's will be visible and NO structural issues.)
