Dock Power Installation's

Dock Trenching Phase

Most Dock electrical system's start with "Trenching"
This is how we get the "CORRECT" voltage and make available an adequate amount of ampacity from your Homes existing "MAIN ELECTRICAL PANEL' down to the
"DOCK ELECTRICAL PANEL"

Trench paths, and distances are different to every project and property.

There are important calculation's, which MUST be considered in this phase of the project. For electrical systems over water, the NEC requires a specific installation for the conduit and conductors (wire) installed to this trench out to the Dock.

THE STATE MANDATES AN INSPECTION TO THIS INSTALLATION.

Dock Panels and Grounding Phase

Most Dock electrical system's REQUIRE a "DOCK PANEL"
An appropriate Dock Panel selection involves more than just picking up whatever is available at your local supply house.
Again, there are important calculations with breaker selections which MUST be considered for the correct and long-term operation of your Boat Lift(s) and your Dock accessories.

See our Boat & PWC Lift Tab for more information on Lift installation processes.

Don't forget about GROUNDING! It's a VERY IMPORTANT part of the safety system built into every Dock wired by Lake Norman Electric!

WE HAVE THE EXPERIENCE TO MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR A SAFE INSTALLATION!
