Most Customers don't realize, but there are approximately 112 different wiring combinations for the 2-motor & 4-motor boat lifts currently sold by Dock builders on Lake Norman and the surrounding lakes.
There is more to it than just re-connecting existing wiring from an old lift or providing a conduit with circuit sized conductors from the Dock Panel to the new lift location.
All new Boat & PWC lifts come with a manufacturer's warranty of at least (1) year.
Boat Lift warranty claims are contingent on the correct application of voltage drop, wiring connection and installation methods. If you have a lift issue and a claim is presented, this is the first place the manufacture will look as to the cause of a defect.
LKN Electric has the required training, tools and PROVEN experience, which means there is NO guess work to the calculations which MUST be considered!
Were so confident in our understanding of what the LIFT electrical requirements are - that if a lift motor(s) fails due to our installation

As to the installation of the conduit(s) and conductors (wire) over water from the Dock Panel to the Boat & PWC lift the NEC
requires a specific installation for YOUR family's protection.

REMEMBER, THE STATE MANDATES AN INSPECTION TO THESE INSTALLATIONS.
As a side note:
We have countless experiences were customers call us and want a re-connect to a new lift they have purchased, not realizing they don't have the correct voltage or circuit size available at the lift location.
Sometimes we discover during this upgrade NO ground conductor was ever installed to the original lift! - this is a potentially lethal condition.
